Cochise is a bay blanket appaloosa pony, who was born in Niceville under the breeding program of the Vanderford Family.  He was a stallion for much of his life, and has many lovely babies scattered across this geographic area.  He received training in English pleasure, hunter and trail work.  He served many years in local show rings and 4-H with various Vanderford children (plus a few others… he was a good and talented boy and much sought after).

 

The Vanderford family donated use of Cochise to GRACE Rides in early 2010.  He is very smart, and very kind, and has served our therapeutic riding program as a super-star ever since his arrival. He added mental health work to his duties in 2017, and has excelled in that program as well.
